Every city makes bank off issuing parking tickets. Except this one

Parking tickets are a major source of revenue for major cities.

Every minute, San Francisco makes $600 from parking tickets alone, exceeding $315 million from parking tickets per year.

New York City? $550 million per year.

But one major city in America pays $32 to issue and process a ticket only worth $30.

That city is Detroit.

That’s right, folks.

Detroit can’t even issue parking tickets correctly.

Downtown Detroit has so many broken parking meters and demolished businesses that have been turned into parking lots that it’s no longer viable for the city to issue tickets anymore.

Plus, Downtown Detroit have the traffic flow that Downtown LA, Manhattan, or Downtown SF have to sustain enough people using meters to even obtain parking tickets.

If they can’t even steal money, how are they supposed to earn it?
